Getting around

The city's Commerce/Industry Park has direct access to Loop 303 and U.S. Highway 60, which connect to Interstates 10 and 17 as well as the wider Phoenix area via Grand Avenue (U.S. 60). A traffic interchange alternatives study for Loop 303 at El Mirage Road was completed, with final design for a Loop 303/155th Avenue interchange expected to begin in early 2026.

Homes and housing

El Mirage's housing stock is primarily single-family detached homes built between the 1980s and 2010s, with lot sizes ranging from compact urban parcels to larger properties, and some areas without HOA restrictions. Neighborhoods such as Sundial and Las Brisas are located near central El Mirage with access to Grand Avenue and Loop 303, while the Rancho El Mirage area to the north features larger lots and newer construction. Properties near the eastern edge along the Agua Fria corridor tend to offer more space.

Things to do

The city maintains more than 52 acres of parks and recreational areas through its Parks and Recreation Department, including Gateway Park and Bill Gentry Park. A recreational facility with a swimming pool, operated by the YMCA, sits adjacent to Bill Gentry Park. El Mirage celebrates Founders Day in March along with other special events throughout the year, and the 10,000-acre Lake Pleasant Regional Park to the north offers boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, camping, and picnicking.
